That's alright, I'm not going to cry over a pound or two - far more important things to worry about! Go to the full post »

Hello Geeks,

I have just installed Windows 10 on my old computer - and now have several programs to re-install that are on CDs. Unfortunately, my CD/DVD drive has not been working for some time and I believe I need to buy a new external (USB) one . A simple purchase, you may think. but is there anything I should look out for when buying?

Many thanks,

Chris.

Hi Chris,

You can get a no name brand for less but I would pay £3 more for a known brand name, Lite-On DVD writer here
