I'm low tech & I must have done something.  I was just trying to open one of my MSWord 2003 documents off my desktop like I have a million times.  Now I get a red circle with a white "X" & the message:  "Windows cannot find 'C:\Sally\Desktop\Important Info.doc'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

I did not type the name...I just double clicked like always.  I tried to restart computer but that didn't help either.  I tried to read from the forums but I don't even know what they are talking about.

Can someone help me?

Thanks,

Sally

Hello sfmfreetwn,

Does it happen with every word document on the desktop or just that one document  in particular ?

Can you create a test document save it to the desktop an open it  without error.

You should remove your E-Mail address from your first post.
