Hello,

We recently purchased some ASUS ZenWifi XT8 mesh wifi nodes. The setup went went, and all but one device in the house can connect to the wifi network. The televisions, smartphones, etc, all connect fine. There is one, four year old laptop, which fails to connect.

The system is running Windows 10, 64 bit. It supports duel band wifi. The laptop has been restarted several times, along with removing and reinstalling the wifi drivers. We have since complete a full factory reset on the laptop, and still no luck. The list of wifi networks to connect to isn't showing our home wifi, no matter the distance between the laptop and the modem. This is the only device that is having issues. I have attempted to turn off all anti-virus/etc to see if there was some sort of conflict, but again, no luck.

The unusual issue is that if I plug in a regular wifi extender to the wall, the laptop is able to connect through that. It just won't find the regular network. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. The mesh system is:

Thanks for the response. It hasn't worked, unfortunately. We have had to resolve the issue by purchasing a wifi dongle, which doesn't offer fantastic range, but is better than nothing. Thanks for your assistance though.

Hi, I am having the exact same issue with the XT8 that I just purchased. All is working except that one laptop, even though the older version of the same laptop with win7 works fine. If this isn't resolved, I'm returning the system and sticking with the AC1900 pair, at least it worked well and cost 1/3 of the price.
