As the topic title says my Nikon CoolPic S3100 will say half battery even after hours on the charger is it an OS error? Or the internal charger I just replaced the battery not that long ago.

I would consider up dating the firmware for the s3100 an see if that helps you.

It would not respond when plugged in now the camera is dead due to what I think is a dead battery.
