Hi,

Strange enough, Microsoft Surface Book 2 is not booting from USB, even though secure boot was disabled and bootable USB was enabled. Anyone has suggestions? Even tried NTFS or FAT32 bootable ISO. The USB definitely works for booting because it worked on other computer.

Hi,

If the system works why not install Windows 10 directly from the flash drive by running the setup? this way an option is presented to do a clean install of Windows if that is what you want.

The problem is the bootable USB does not boot (even though they worked on another computer), but they do not boot on Surface Book 2.

Its a common problem, boot from USB can be tricky it depends on the hardware, BIOS versions, etc.

How did you transfer Windows 10 to the flash drive?

It is so frustrating when there are power outages, especially when you are working from home. A portable power station https://gardeningfac...-power-station/ is a great alternative to give power. If you need one, I can tell more and help.

Ended up calling them to send out a recovery USB. This recovery USB is specific for Surface Book. It was pretty quick, received in 2 days.
