I've purchased a VGA to USB adapter in order to add a 3rd monitor to my new laptop (windows 10 in S mode).  All is connected and I have no way to install the adapter as a device.  The instructions say plug it in and a box will pop up, then I just follow the instructions.   No box appears.  unfortunately this adapter just states "made in China".  No name.  Although the minute instruction sheet states "contact us if there is a problem", there is no company name or phone number.  Lesson learned.  But.... can anyone help me? My new laptop should support a 3rd monitor.  I need to install the adapter.

Hello Mommajo1974,

Have you tried disconnecting the second monitor from the notebook then connecting the device + what you you refer to as the third monitor to see if that makes any difference.

My new laptop should support a 3rd monitor.

Not all will and it depends on the specifications that the computer has.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the notebook so that we can check the specs.
