The power cable to my Lenovo laptop (14API, Type 81SS) appears to include the circuitry that converts the raw 110V AC to the DC voltage the laptop requires. Seems obvious, but can someone please confirm that for me? Thank you. .... batpark

Hello bat.

It's confirmed every time the laptop is turned on, if the process of converting AC TO DC and the correct dc voltage (usually 19vdc) was not taking place the laptop would not turn on. The only other way to confirm is to measure the voltage at the connector that plugs into the laptop using a volt ohm meter.
