- Check you Add/Remove programs to see if you can uninstall it from there
- If the first step didn't work then use your Task Manager to see the application name, let's say it's "driver_updater.exe"
- Open your drive C:\ and enter "driver_updater.exe" on the search box
- On the results list, right click "driver_updater.exe" and click "Open file location"
- These type of applications usually have their own folder in AppData\Roaming, let's say it's "Driver Updater"
- If the previous step is right, then delete the folder containing the "driver_updater.exe". (Make sure you kill the process "driver_updater.exe" first)
- If the file "driver_updater.exe" doesn't have it's own folder then do not delete the folder containing it, just delete the file.
If all of the previous steps fails, then:
- On your desktop, press the Windows key + R
- On the run box, type msconfig
- On the small window that will pop up, select the "Windows Startup" tab
- On the list, find your "driver_updater.exe" and uncheck the box
- Click "Apply", then click Ok. The tool will require you to reboot, say yes.
This should work.
