Summary  this person on skype i'm "friends with"  sent me a poker course download.  Windows said too big to download.. i hit run anyways button.

anyways i play poker for thousands of bucks and i found teamviewer running in background last week in background secretly.  By being able to see my screen he could sit down at same poker table and obviously kick my [bleep] .   I think i lost about 4000 bucks due to this playing usually 200 to 400 a pop.. really sucks..

I immediately thought i was hacked, which i was, i'm sure,  and reloaded windows and seem to be ok now.

I"m using my hotspot on my Iphone lately so this hacker must have came thru my hotspot too.

1.   Anyways i'd like to look at the message/ this poker course file he sent me using a message on Skype.. can i scan it somehow to see whats found?

look for spyware.

Submit the file to

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/

They will send it to a bunch of different anti-virus companies for an opinion and give you the result in less than a minute.

this is the site of the crime i believe.

1..........How do i take this file which was sent to me thru a skype message and somehow drag into virustotal to scan it?i

I have reloaded windows,  so i don't have it downloaded to find in files to scan.

After reloading windows and having McCaffe on computer should be good after that right if hacked?  That should have gotten any bad spyware out of my computer right?

Thus the file is not downloaded on my computer ... so not sure how to scan it into virus total.. thanks

2...  I did a scan for FRST... how do i send u addition etc? U want to see this as i'm sure you excited to make sure my computer not hacked currently?

I dont see attatch files on this message thing here.

I need to make sure this is out of my comptuer for good....  I hope nothing got into the Registery of the hard drive or something and can't be erased.

3........This is not the file i'm suspicious of but i  had it check a PokerMinion file.. and it says "cannot process file type on VirusTotal .. hmm whats that about?

https://gyazo.com/13...fcf2f4f17401340

4...........Should i make two accounts on my Windows .. one for poker.. other one for browsing ... only have Admin on the one for poker probably?

You can point virustotal at a url and it will try to check the page.  However if all the file does is install TeamViewer it may not be considered bad.

If the file can't be processed then it may be defective or it may be of a type that is not normally seen as malware.

To attach a file:

First click on More Reply Options
Then scroll down to where you see
Choose File and click on it.  Point it at the file and hit Open.
Now click on Attach this file.

I expect a fresh install would remove the virus.  To make sure I would run MBAR:

https://www.malwareb...om/antirootkit/

McAfee would not be my choice for an anti-virus.  Bitdefender or Kaspersky are much better if you are paying.  The free Avast is probably better than McAfee.

I paid for avast and have a subscription but it seems to not let my virtual graphics work good when i run an emulator using bluestacks, nox,  etc..  I saw an article about this

Incoming suspicious network blocked many times.. is this of concern?

ok downloading kaspernsky etc now....

and root kit program  Thanks

btw is there a way to get a notification when you reply to this post?  so i see in bottom left corner a reply has been made?
