Here are the instructions for removing Kaspersky. Let me know if it works now.

1. Download the kavremvr.exe executable file and save it on your Desktop.

2. Run the file once it has downloaded.

3. Read through the End User License Agreement. Click Accept if you agree to the terms.

4. Enter the security code from the image. If you can’t see the code clearly, click on the update icon to the right to generate a new one.

5. Select the Kaspersky application you wish to remove.

6. Click Remove.

7. Wait until you receive a notification that the application was successfully removed.

8. Restart.

The Kaspersky application has been completely removed from your computer. If you have multiple Kaspersky applications installed on your computer, remove them one at a time.

You had these Kaspersky products installed, so you may need to do the above steps one time for each product.

Kaspersky Secure Connection
Kaspersky Total Security

Good afternoon.

Just finished running everything. Thank you for copying the text from that website that I couldn't access, much appreciated.

I was able to find "Kapersky Secure Connection" in that removal app but I was able to find Kapersky Total Security so I have skipped that for now.

After running the Kapersky removal tool I restarted my PC and installed an update that was there. After updating and logging in to my computer, I had the flickering taskbar/desktop issue again :( I have now experienced this every time I have restarted since that update today. Also, on the first restart I was given a new error message that hasn't appeared on further restarts. I have included an attached screenshot of this message.

Below are the logs I ran;

Hi, Mingo_TTV.

Since the computer is free from malware now, I think that the best for you now is to ask for help at the Windows Forum here at Geeks to Go, about the flickering desktop/taskbar error. You can provide a link to this thread, so the helper can see what we already did here.

Before closing the thread, however, I would like to see fresh FRST logs, just to check that everything ran smoothly regarding the previous instructions, as well as if we missed anything.

  • Double-click on the FRST icon to run it, as you did before. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button and wait for a while.
  • The scanner will produced two logs on your Desktop: FRST.txt and Addition.txt.
  • Please copy and paste the content of these two logs in your next reply.
