I had my computers off for 8 months, and just got back home to this issue. It has never done it before, but now it is only with World of Warcraft, but when clicking on the other monitors, or hitting the windows key to "minimize" the game it freezes the computer. I still have mouse control, and audio playing, but cannot interact with anything at all. I have tried with many other games, and have not had any issues whatsoever. I have updated graphics drivers already with a clean install, and the issue is still happening. I cannot find anything online about this issue, so maybe it has happened to someone else, but a very small amount of people.

Sadly no. WoW currently has no Fullscreen mode anymore, they have forced Windowed Full, and windowed. This is the first time in 16 years of playing I have seen this issue oddly. During the freeze I cannot interact with anything. Even Alt+F4 will not end the program. I cannot open Task Manager, or Windows 10's Ctrl+Alt+Del screen. The audio will continue to play if I have any playing such as a show on the other monitor, but all video freezes which sounded like a GPU driver issue, but I did a fresh safe mode install of NVIDIA drivers.

Honestly I wish I knew. ha I haven't found anything on their forums just yet. It's very odd since it is just World of Warcraft that does it. I play many many other games every day that don't have this issue either which I found very odd. They were both very out of date when I got back home, but that is all sorted out now. Other than Windows 10 not giving me the latest updates, but that is another issue. lol

After cleaning it out, and reseating them today the issue still happens. It doesn't always happen either so I'm even more confused at this point. If I accidentally hit windows sometimes it freezes, and sometimes it doesn't. May have to run in windowed mode, and just bump the resolution up.

Yes, maybe that will work. Keep us updated here.

I have sort of given up on it sadly. I have just resorted to playing in windowed mode, and just using a higher resolution to make it not look as bad. I still haven't found out why it is freezing the PC, and cannot think of any other issues that would cause it.
