I'm trying to accept trusted pictures files from my friend over msn, they are .bmp format, but whenever I try to recieve them Service pack 2 keeps on saying it blocks the file for my protection. Anyone know how to make this stop? Please help, I am getting very frustrated with this problem.

control panel> internet options> security tab>highlight "internet" and click "custom level. Check settings to see if file dowload is enabled. Also, bmps are often quite large. Does MSN have a file size limit for transfer? (Why I stick to ICQ!)

The following steps did not help me... Thank you anyways, but as for the msn, no, there is no file limit.

Here is a picture of the message it gives me.

Tools> Internet Options>Programs> click manage add ons...not sure what, if any, you will find there for MSN, but worth a look.

Also, Control Panel> Windows Firewall> Exceptions tab (If you use the XP Firewall)

Check and make sure you are not blocking file transfers through MSN.
