Hi, two days ago my computer froze, then auto restart.

After the restart, it shows a black screen and says : Checking Media Prescence, Start PXE over IPv4

then it doesn't boot up . I have to hold the power button to restart.

Today it did it once again.

I did a lot of virus searching and cleaning, with nothing found. (windows defender, malware bytes, ccleaner)

I did a file check dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
sfc /scannow

Checked hard drive for problems. No problems found.

Checked Memory for problems. No problems found. Memory diagnostic Tool.

Computer:

- 3.6 GHz AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Six-Core
- 8GB DDR4 | 512GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD crucial technology
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (4GB GDDR5)

- Asustek prime B450M-A Mother Board
- HDMI | DisplayPort

Does anyone know what could cause this? Or how to find out? All it says in the event log viewer is the computer unexpectedly restarted.

My Pc is only 2 months old.

Gday Tmartinhere  :welcome:

Sounds like there may have been a change in the BIOS boot configuration, lets try.

1.  Start the computer and press Delete or the F 2 key to enter BIOS.

2.  Press the F5 key.

3.  Click the OK button on the confirmation screen.

Your computer should now reboot into the OS.

This issue directly indicates that there is a problem with your system's hardware. It can be your overheating CPU, hard drive , failing power supply. As you have already done with the hard drive checking tools and found nothing. So, now i would suggest you to try your luck with diagnostic boot CD to see if will helps you out.

If nothing works for you then it is better to go for replacement. As you said it is only 2 months old then it must be in warranty.

Good Luck!

All indications are that the boot order in the bios has changed as iammykyl has stated. If that doesn't fix it I would take it back if it still under warranty.

Just a heads up folks, the OP has a habit of starting and abandoning threads on various forums so you may want to save your help for those that actually need and appreciate it, another abandoned GTG thread here
