Hi all,

My parents' laptop has clapped out so I've loaned them a desktop computer and connected it into ther television so that they still have access to the internet/rest of the world.

Everything's working fine except for one thing - the desktop image on the television screen is too big and so not all of it is showing i.e. half of the start button is missing or you can only see part of the icons.

I right-clicked on the desktop and went into display settings and tried other options but none of them seem to work. It's strange because it worked fine on my tv.

Is it the screen ratio on the tv that's the problem? Can it be fixed or will we just have to get by with it as it is?

Thanks in advance for any help.

What is the make and model of the TV?

What resolution are you currently using?

What is the highest resolution available?

Do you have Scaling set at 100% ?
