Allright, whenever I turn on my computer, a run window opens. It says it wants to run msi.exe, but doesnt give microsoft as a publisher. Im having spyware/adware problems right now that im trying to get rid of, so Im afraid to open it, but I cant find the file to scan it for viruses.

also, the adware on my computer opens a blank page http://freewebs/ihostingss/closeme.htm

I dont know what is on that, so probably best not to go to it.

When I was running McAfee Virus Scan it came up with one potentially unwanted file I couldnt quarantine and could not delete, I think that might be it.

any advice? :tazz:

Try reading through a few posts in the malware forum starting with:

http://www.geekstogo...s_Log-t2852.htm

Follow the 'before you post' procedures to see if that helps.

Hello, and Welcome to G2G!

If you have followed the instructions Here
Then you should post a HJT log in THAT forum. They are specially trained to deal with Malware, and can give you better help in that area.

If you get a clean bill of health from them, and still have the problem, please come back and update THIS topic, dont create a new one.
