The browser I use is is Firefox.  When I use Chrome, there is no page loading lag with Youtube.

I kept getting this warning popup in Youtube when clicking on a new video or when trying to get back to my Youtube home screen:

"Warning unresponsive script.  A script on this page may be busy....A webpage is slowing down your browser...."

There were two buttons in this popup to either Continue or Stop script.

I used the search term "about:config" and set dom.max_chrome_script_run_time and set dom.max_script_run_time both to 0.  I think that I set them both at different numbers like both of them at 20 and one at 10 and the other at 20, but I don't remember exactly what I set them at.  After making these changes I stopped getting the popup, but the page loading lag in Youtube is still just as long.

A Firefox extension recommended to speed up page loading is Fast YouTube Load at Mozilla.org. There is a warning for this extension:"This add-on is not actively monitored for security by Mozilla. Make sure you trust it before installing."  Should I try this extension?  What else should I try?

Thanks for any replies.
