Error message telling me to reset time & date or that it is out of date. I comply, but the message continues. I have replaced the battery. When I reset through the F12 boot option, I get a rather loud BUZZING sound. Running Win 10, 64 bit, Dell Optimum 780.  Finding info on this subject has been scarce.

When searching try "Dell Optiplex 780" instead of "Dell Optimum 780".

If the system cannot keep the Date/Time current, it means the CMOS battery (on the motherboard) is dead and needs to be replaced.

The CR2032 is pretty much a standard in desktops. You may have got a bad battery. Do you have a meter to check the voltage?

A new battery will read about 3.3 vdc and dead will be about 2.7vdc.

The check needs to be done with the battery out of the computer circuit.
