I did exactly what this document says but unfortunately without success. If I restart PC it boots into Windows, when I turn it off and back on, it freezes.

I believe something is faulty inside, could it be processor or mobo ?

It must be hardware related as there are no problems in that log.

Question:

Does the computer freeze all the time?

Most of the time yes, but not every single time

When you are able to boot into Windows, run msconfig. The Configuration Utility will be displayed. Select the Services tab, put a check mark on Hide Microsoft Services, and disable all what is left on the tab. Select the Startup tab, click to bring the Task Manager. Disable all applications therein. Click on Apply, then on OK. Restart the computer.

The computer will boot on a Clean Boot Mode. This is done to troubleshoot devices and applications that may be in conflict with Windows.

Let me know if the computer freezes in this mode.

When I put a check mark on Hide Microsoft Services, there is nothing left to disable so I can't click on apply because it's unavailable, only ok button is (please check photo). Under task manager I can disable all.

There seems that there are no services left when you check "Hide Microsoft Services", in that case it should be Normal that the Apply button is greyed. Did you tested the computer without applications? Any improvement?

Run devmgmt.msc. Are there any device with an Exclamation sign over a Yellow background?

I did, no improvement.

No exclamation signs.

Can you run FRST64 in Normal Mode? If you do, scan and post its reports.

There is no indication of a problem. You must Activate the Copy of Windows to be able to receive Updates. Chances are that by updating current devices drivers the situation may go away, specially a BIOS update. There is nothing else we can do thru software from here.

I wish you well.

Best regards. :)

Windows activation is not a problem, problem is if updates won't help . Since his PC is old, can u give me some advice where to find those driver updates (beside device manager), especially for BIOS before I say goodbye ?

What should I do if updating doesn't help, replace mobo ?

OK.  It's a Gigabyte motherboard 970A-DS3P which is mostly what I needed to know.  There is a newer BIOS but it says Beta so I think we will wait on trying to update it.

Probably the best thing to try is to Clear the CMOS.  This will put the BIOS back to the default values.  Shut it down, unplug it and open the case.  There are a pair of pins on the motherboard with the label: CLR_CMOS

They are just behind the 6 SATA connectors and just above the F connector.  See page 11 in the manual.  Available at:

https://www.gigabyte...#support-manual

(I'm looking at the English version).  Use a screwdriver or piece of wire or a jumper and short the pins together for 3 seconds.  When you put it back together and power it up it may want you to set the clock and load defaults.

Always turn off your computer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before clearing the CMOS values.
•• After system restart, go to BIOS Setup to load factory defaults (select Load Optimized Defaults) or manually
configure the BIOS settings (refer to Chapter 2, "BIOS Setup," for BIOS configurations).

I don't know how feasible may be to update the BIOS as seems you have the latest.

Once you computer is Active, Windows Updates will bring in the Updates you need. I went through Gigabytes website and was not able to find any helpful information.
