Use the Windows Media Creation tool and attempt to create a bootable USB drive.

Here is the link: Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

See if you are able to boot to that USB drive.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to that USB  flash drive.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

Boot in the Recovery Environment with the USB Flash drive

  • Browse to select Repair your computer, and press on Enter
  • Select your keyboard layout (US, French, etc.) and click on Next
  • Click on Command Prompt to open the command prompt
  • To enter the Recovery Environment with Windows 10, follow the instructions in this tutorial on TenForums
Note: If you can't access the Recovery Environment using the method above, you'll need to create a Windows installation or repair media. It can be made on the computer itself or another one running the same version of Windows as the one you plan to use it on. For more information, check out this tutorial on TenForums.

Once in the command prompt

  • In the command prompt, type notepad and press on Enter
  • Notepad will open. Click on the File menu and select Open
  • Click on Computer/This PC, find the letter for your USB Flash Drive, then close the window and Notepad
  • In the command prompt, type e:\frst.exe (for the x64 version, type e:\frst64.exe and press on Enter
  • Note: Replace the letter e with the drive letter of your USB Flash Drive
  • FRST will open
  • Click on Yes to accept the disclaimer
  • Click on the Scan button and wait for it to complete
  • A log called frst.txt will be saved on your USB Flash Drive. Post it in your next reply

Lets see the Boot Configuration.

Download the enclosed file.     Save it in the USB drive next to FRST64. Boot the computer once again to the Recovery Environment Command prompt and run FRST64 as you did before. This time around click on the Fix button. Upon completion, FRST will produce a log, Fixlog.txt. Please post its contents in your next reply.

There is no BCD file in the system.

Run FRST64 as you did before. Type BCD* on the Search window and click on the Search Files button. Upon completion, a log will be produced in the USB drive, Search.txt. Please post its contents in a reply.

I would also like to run a command to create a BCD:

Download the enclosed file.   Save it in the USB drive next to FRST64. Boot the computer once again to the Recovery Environment Command prompt and run FRST64 as you did before. This time around click on the Fix button. Upon completion, FRST will produce a log, Fixlog.txt. Please post its contents in your next reply.

We are going to use another tool to have an idea how the hard drive is partitioned. In most occasions is different from what FRST64 indicates. The tool is ran similar to FRST64 in the Recovery Environment.

Please download  Listparts to the flash drive.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

Plug the flashdrive into the troubled PC.

From an Off position in the computer, enter the System Recovery Options.

On the System Recovery Options menu you will get the following options:

  • Startup Repair
  • System Restore
  • Windows Complete PC Restore
  • Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
  • Command Prompt
  • Select Command Prompt
  • In the command window type in notepad and press Enter.
  • The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
  • Select "Computer" and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
  • In the command window type e:\ListParts.exe (for x64 bit version type e:\ListParts64.exe)  and press Enter

Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.

  • The tool will start to run.
  • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Put check mark on List BCD.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (Result.txt) in the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your reply.

From an OFF position, boot to the Command Prompt in the Recovery Environment. At the prompt type the following and press Enter:

bcdboot d:\windows

If successful, restart the computer and allow it to boot into Windows. If not let me know of any errors returned.
