I think my problem is the look-today bar. I have gotten the search bar at the top and a bigger one at the bottom. Sometimes I get redirected to a page that says page cannot be displayed and there are link in blue lettering for casino games, entertainment, health, money ect. Sometimes icons for those same topics show up on my desktop and all I can do is delete the icons and I know the root problem is still there. Adaware and spybot havn't detected it, norton doesn't pick anything up and cwshredder didn't find anything. I now have spyware blaster running and I will post a hijack this list. Please help me.

ok, i did what the instructions said but I can't reboot in safe mode. When I robooted I when to msconfig and clicked the safe mode button in there. When the computer starts it asks if I want safe mode and several other choices along with normal and last know config that worked I tried both and the computer just stops responding.

I just let it go and it finally did reboot, so it's working now. The 10/11 weather thing is a program Have on here for local weather updates. I was wondering before I delete the program files/liveupdate/liveupdate.exe, is the part of my Norton antivirus. That is the name they use is live update. I did click it on the hijack this but I didn't delete the file yet until I know I don't need it. Here is the latest log.

Sorry about so many posts here, can't find an edit button for the previous messages. When I click on the link "how to boot in safe mode" cause I wasn't sure, it takes me to that blue page is not responding, even after I did all this so something still isn't right.

I do have spyware blaster running now. That line you said to fix changes everytime I run hjt, I did fix it one time and it came back. As far as gridtool, I have no idea what that is. I have asked on another forum if anybody knew what it was. Gridtool and storeooze are both names on the startup in the msconfig that I don't recognize. Gridtool is in there twice.

Run HJThis again per the instructions given previous and get rid of the entries already suggested. Then.

Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin
Click OK and Disk Cleanup will delete those files for you.

Reboot and post a fresh log.

Please Download CoolWebShredder, from http://www.geekstogo...=download&id=17 , Extract it & run the program. Click the Next Button & let it scan. Make sure you let it fix all CWS Remnants. Afterwards, Please Post a fresh Hijack This log.

I think I figured it out , cwshredder never found anything. There was something in the startup in msconfig called gridtool.exe, I found it on the hd with 2 other programs that were strange that didn't do anything when you try to open them so I deleted them and everything has been ok so far.
