RESOLVED (FOR NOW)

After I reboot my system, When I open Microsoft word, it doesn't display correctly and is nearly unusable. For some reason, after a couple of hours of preforming other tasks on the system, it will open correctly. I have inserted a screenshot of the incorrect display. Can someone give me a clue why this is happening and how to fix it?

Version 2007. I know that's nearly prehistoric but it has always worked before.

I don't have any recommendation other than trying to repair the whole Office suite.

See here (Office 2007) if it helps: How to Repair Office 2010, 2007, or 2003 Installations (slipstick.com)

Thank you. I ran the repair procedure and word opened correctly. I'm going to wait and see if this problem reoccurs. I think it might because, in the past, if I waited for an hour or two after rebooting my system, the problem would go away on its own. Keeping my fingers crossed... Thanks again.

Jim

Sorry for taking so long to get back. I needed to reboot my system yesterday and, when I opened either word or excel,They displayed as I show in my original post. I worked with Excel the best I could using that display for about an hour, saved the spreadsheet, and closed Excel. About an hour later I opened Excel and it displayed correctly. I still need an explanation of why this is happening.

Thanks for any help. Jim B.
