Thank you resolved, was able to fix it by restarting and doing a fourth system file check after the system restore. After getting it to work I also implemented your suggestion.Thanks! Go to the full post »

Recently I have not been able to open my downloads folder. I tried to resolve the issue by doing a system file check, that didn’t work and I tried a system restore which also didn’t work.
Running Windows 10 on my desktop with:
Intel® Core™ i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.71 GHz
RAM 8.00 GB
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
