When a website asks to allow my location, why do both Firefox and Chome have me about 7 miles southeast of my true location?  I'm running Windows 7.

Hello jsaklas,

As far as I know it's just an estimate of your location based on IP address, Google Location Services then returns your estimated geolocation.

On a lighter note jsaklas, moved your topic to the more appropriate forum as being on the All Other Operating Systems forum meant it was in the wrong location  :D
