Need help can't set up used hp elitedesk 800 G5 sff. Gets to network in oobe (out of box experience) and I hit a wall. It's asking me to put in an email for Assurant, inc (ie, [email protected]) which takes you to an okta/office365 SSO (single sign on) thru Assurant, inc. I'm stuck and need your help please to get into computer. I have already tried resetting thru bios and reinstalling win 10 thru USB, but still nothing. 😞😞😞

You have a win 10 usb made with the creation tool?

****NB this will wipe all data from the drive****
Boot from Win 10 install usb
When you get to the startup screen
Press Shift + F10 key
you should get a X:> prompt
What is in blue you type in red you do
e.g Enter
 press enter key

Diskpart
 enter
list disk enter
Select disk n enter (n=the disk you wish to convert)
clean enter
convert gpt enter
exit enter

exit enter
can you continue with the install now ?

Yep followed the instructions to the letter. Some one I talked to earlier today said this has something to do with a domain on the computer.

Lets hope a cmos clear helps

You may be stuck otherwise.

Step 1) clear cmos

Step 2) Before restarting remove battery as well for 5-10mins

Excuse the interjection folks but the assistance that has been offered is not in keeping with the GTG Terms of Use

  • Due to the nature of online help we are not able to verify ownership, and will not be able to help bypass or recover any user passwords, cd keys, license codes, serial numbers, etc.

Assurant, inc is a global multi billion $ company so the question has to be asked as to how come one of their computers has been sold with the storage drive still in place, this has law suit written all over it so in the interest of GTG no further assistance can be offered and the thread must be closed.

This is something that the OP must take up with the person from whom they acquired the computer.
