Hi,

Whenever I turn on my laptop, a few minute after it booted, there is a word "Documents" that will appear on the screen and I can't remove it.

Whether I'm browsing the internet, watching youtube, playing games or in the desktop, it wont go away.

Please see screen shots below;

Is this a virus? But I already scanned my laptop for viruses and malwares.

I don't see anything fishy going-on except this.

What do you think it is?

Thanks

Hello JoMalig,

Most likely not a virus so I would not worry too much about that,

What Microsoft office programs do you have installed?

When did it start to happen can you remember?

Does it happen in safe mode?

To boot to safe mode see link below

Start your PC in safe mode in Windows (microsoft.com)

Hi,

I'm using MS Office 2007. But I don't think its causing the problem because I've been using it more or less 10 years now.

Now its showing "Photos", see image below;

Under safe mode, its fine. So I guess there is 1 application causing the problem.

Below is list of my installed application sorted by date of installation.

All of these are trusted applications.

Or maybe I should uninstall my applications one by one to find which one is causing the problem.

Hi,

Try using the Task Manager to disable all the Startup items reboot and enable one by one followed by a reboot to ID the one that adds that text.

From the list of programs I would check the ObjectDock Plus configuration.

I found the culprit. Yes it was Object Dock all along but I don't know why.

I've been using it since last year and never had a problem.

I tried reinstalling it but end up with the same problem.

Now I'm using rocket dock.

Thanks for the help.

Good that you find the culprit.

I'm not familiarized with the program, It was the latest version of Object Dock?
