For a couple of weeks now I have bee plagued with this so-called spyware remover program which I didn't ask for, request or otherwise search for. It has totally taken over! I can remove it with 'Remove Programs' (Win98), find it with Explorer and delete its file and all the contents but it just keeps on coming back. By reading some other sites it seems I am not the only one
The suggested solution on a couple of them are a little too complicated or convoluted for me (and my small brain <g>) However, I would try anything, short of completely wiping the drive and re-installing everything--well for now anyway. I might just have to take desperate measures.
I am not sure how to use such programs as Hi-Jack This, can't run Kerio (Win98). I have been running Spy-bot for some time to clean up (mostly) and have AVG which is a regular.
Sure would like some help on this, as it's driving me crazy (well, more so than I am)
