Hi,

When I try to start my computer up, there is an error message that says \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM is either missig or corrupt and try the system recovery CD. Each time I tried a recovery, it ends with a warning message and says that there are missing recovery files so either the CD or CD-ROM is damaged. I tried to recover just that file it specified under advanced options, but then the warning message says "No files matching the name you specified were found." I hope that I won't have to completely reformat the thing. Please let me know if you can be of assistance.

Thank you so much for your time,

Sherry

Just write one yourself. Its not hard.
Or look for a copy of boot disk for whatever OS you are running.
If worst comes to worst make a blank file with same name and extension and start from there.
