Hi there folks!! Sorry for the long silence - have been busy with class and work all these days. Also been busy with installing linux on my computer,

I finally managed to get my hands on a Mandrake Linux LE 2005 6 CD set ;) - i have a Dell Inspiron 700m laptop - i had a tough time configuring the wireless card, and am having a even tougher time trying to configure the sound card now. I really enjoy working in Linux, and i just love the KDE interface.

Any ideas from people here as to how i can go about configuring this??? I am totally clueless, and am a noob to Linux. :tazz: if i could get this spound card configured i would love linux a lot more!!

thanks

Well, I'm a newer noob than you are. I just downloaded (16 hours) the three CD version from one of the free mirror sites, burned it to CDs with my recently acquired CD-RW and have just now got it installed and working, Except for the sound card! So as soon as I get that figured out I'll be glad to let you know. :tazz:
