It is not recommended to run more than one antivirus program because if more than one have real-time protection enabled, it can cause issues on your computer. However, as long as you only have 1 real-time protection enabled, then you can use the others as a backup scanner, however there are better programs to use for that such as Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware.

While this page certainly does a good job when it comes to antivirus software, antimalware, and additional security software, it seems a bit limited when it comes to firewalls. Is there a reason that neither Comodo nor Zone Alarm are featured? Far more importantly, what's the recommendation regarding just leaving matters in the hands of the Windows firewall?

People should be made aware of the fact that Avira is considering a partnership with Uniblue. Most of us know what kind of software Uniblue is pushing.
I have already made the switch to Avast AV because of this.

It's such a shame because AntiVir is a well respected AV and leads the pack in protection.
If Avira were to reverse their decision in this matter, I would certainly switch back to AntiVir, which I had been using for many years.

Just something to think about.

I also swiched From MSE to Avast free with Free winpatrol
i kept MSE as On demand scanner with MBAM and Superantispyware

AFAIK you cannot turn off MSE's on demand scanner unless you uninstall it. So use just one.

yep i can and i just turned MSE real Time Protection Off "Real Time monitor " from the settings

and i used avira Both Working Fluently for

Mse For on demand scanning and Avira is Running in real time

I like Avira it's pretty solid it's stronger than avast "personal Opinion "

But i hate the nagging and the adware they added lately

But other than that Great detection Rates
