I fitted a Philips 1640 DVD RW to my emachines celeron 2.3GHz and all seemed fine.
I found it in my computer as a DVD RW at which point my PC restarted itself.
It booted back up ok but now the drive is only displayed as a CD ROM and I'm clueless as to how to change it.
I have double checked the master/slave settings and they are ok. I have the philips drive as master and the original samsung DVD/CDRW as slave.
Any ideas would be great.
