Strange, I have never heard of this either. Have you been able to verify the address it was trying to access? I will check into this further.

Doesn't sound good. Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.
Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.
Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Hi All,
Well, the mystery of the Curtains for Windows System Launcher has been solved. The actual name of the program is CurtainsSysSvcNT.exe. A few days ago I downloaded and installed a security manager offered by Comcast and the mystery program is part of that package. I just got off the phone with Tech. Support at Comcast. The program needs Internet access for updates. So it's legitimate. Thanks for the suggestion about using hijackThis. I did download it and run it but it didn't show up anything out of the ordinary, but I"m glad to have it as it may prove useful in the future.
