hi everyone,

i was away at school for about a week, and left my desktop on by accident. when i got back (five days later) i had discovered that it had obtained the BLOODHOUND.W32.EP virus. after some time, i was able to get rid of it, although not easily.

however, since then, my computer has been constantly downloading "SPYSHERIFF" and i'm almost positive this is spyware. i unistalled it. then i read about other people's problems with this same thing. i forget what i downloaded, but i did something, and soon enough, my desktop was back to normal, and spysheriff was gone. i couldn't have been happier.

unfortunately, when restarting my computer early yesterday, i noticed that spysheriff was back and that my background had changed to the dreaded "SYSTEM STOPPED...". i ran spyboy, ad-aware se, and clean-up! and somehow got rid of it.

unfortunately, now i noticed that my background is just plain white. and when i go to change it, the buttons are blurred out. in addition, my computer seems to be running much more sluggish than what it has been.

i've seen some other people on here who seem to be excellent with fixing these things, and i am begging someone to help me.

THANKS A MILLION!!!!

Hello and welcome to Geeks to Go! :tazz: I'm kool808 .

In the future please DO NOT post your HJT Logs in this forum unless told so.

please read http://www.geekstogo..._Log-t2852.html

Post a log as a new topic in the Malware Removal Forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
