Hi all,

Sorry to bother you, I am pathetic and I know it. Please help me with your worldly and knowledgable ways!!

Ive started having problems with my browser, coincidently right after my housemate began looking at unsavoury websites without my knowledge (no really, it wasn't me! This time!)

Here is my HiJack This log - if anyone's able to tell me if something is awry, it'd be much appreciated... It could be fine, I have no idea. Again - incredibly ignorant!

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure. Please move Hijack This to a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu). Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe
C:\Program Files\Computer Security\
C:\WINDOWS\System32\window.exe

Next, please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Whaddya reckon? Thanks so much for your help, by the way - it's much MUCH appreciated :D

PS: Do you think that anything in this log file would be affecting my ability to install Photoshop 7? It sounds ridiculous and stupid, I know - but installation of Photoshop 7 continually stalls on 55% and the CPU usage is going nuts so while it's a long shot, I wondered if any problems might be stemming from issues with the log file. Tell me to "Shut up, stupid!" if I'm completely off track! Hehe

Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin

Reboot and post a new log. <_<

Hi again,

Just like before, I'll start with apologising for the delay. All matter of dramas. Things aren't looking too good with my poor old computer - Norton Anti-Virus has been turned off and it won't let me enable it again. I remember having this trouble six months ago but can't recall what I did to fix it! Tried to to the disc clean up as suggested, stalled the computer and wouldn't continue. I cleared out my temporary internet files though and also my Temp folder. Quite a few dodgily named files in there include virus.avi and trojan.ajt or something. Puts the fear of god in me, I tells ya!

Anyway, here's the HJT log. Thanks again for the help, I hope you haven't given up on me <_<
