I get this message every 20 seconds [ Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. ]

I tried to use windows restore and no luck. I tried Spybot
pcdocter
adware
webroot
nimda
cwshredder
SFC /SCannon into run ..... and still no luck

I transfered my files to another computer and now would like to know how to erase XP and reinstall a fresh version

Thx
Henry

all you have to do is boot from your XP cd. if you already saved all of your files you dont have to do anything special just follow the prompts and format and reinstall

Possibly you RAM is bad. I was getting alot of those, and blue screens. I tested my RAM using Microsofts windiag.exe and found one of my sticks was bad. AFter I removed it, it cleared all the errors.
