I have somehow been infect with the aurora spyware. i have read many forums and topics about this. i have tired the remove feature from aurora (mypctuneup) didnt do anything. i also continually get attacked by somthing called "helkern" and a few different trojans called

poller.exe trojan.win32.agent.ay
wupdt.exe trojan-downloader.win32.intexp.c

i am running kaspersky antivirus
i have tried x-softspy
stopZIlla
adaware se pro
spybot
e-trust pest patrol
and microsoft anti-spy(which turned out to be a waste of time, where all the others would at least detect aurora and its registery keys this tells me my PC is free of spyware HAHA)

i have downloaded ewido...and i have attempted to download nail fix from many different locations but there doesnt seem to be any working links to it that i know of!

i have included my hijckthis log file.

hope theres somthing here you can see HAHA! thank you so so so much for any help you can provide.
i have restarted the PC first then ran hijackthis

Hi wioombeen,

You may want to print out these instructions or save them to your desktop as a text file with Notepad because we will be restarting into Safe Mode later on in the fix and you might not be able to access the Internet.
  • Prepare Ewido Security Suite for use:
    • Download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite.
    • Install the Program.
    • Click on the "update" button on the left hand side of the window.
    • Click on "Start Update".
    • You should not run the program yet so Exit the program.
  • Prepare Nailfix for use:
    • Download Nailfix.
    • Unzip the contents of the zip file to your Desktop.
    • Do not run it yet.
  • Reboot into Safe mode. To reboot in Safe mode:
    • Restart your computer and immediately begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard.
    • If done right a Windows Advanced Options menu will appear. Select the Safe Mode option and press Enter.
  • Run Nailfix:
    • Double-click on Nailfix.cmd.
    • Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly. Don't be alarmed, this is normal.
  • Run Ewido Security Suite:
    • Open Ewido Security Suite.
    • Click on the "scanner" button on the left hand side of the window.
    • Click on "Start".
    • After the scan is completed, save the logfile from the scan.
  • Run HijackThis:
    • Open HijackThis, run a scan and check this item:
      • F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
    • Close all windows and browsers, except HijackThis, and have HijackThis fix them by clicking on Fix Checked.
  • Restart your computer normally to return to normal mode.
  • Prepare in your reply:
    • Please post a fresh HijackThis log.
    • Please post the Ewido Security Suite log.

Hi wioombeen,

Please disable AdWatch, as it may hinder the removal of some entries. You can re-enable it after you're clean.
  • To disable AdWatch:
  • Open AdAware SE.
  • Go to AdWatch User Interface.
  • Go to Tools and Preferences.
  • At the bottom of the screen you will see 2 options Active and Automatic.
    • Active: This will turn Ad-Watch On\Off without closing it
    • Automatic: Suspicious activity will be blocked automatically
  • Uncheck both options.
  • Reboot your PC.
You are running two Anti-virus programs. You should disable one of them, it doesn't matter which one. Two ani-virus programs running at the same time can conflict with each other.

Then, let us remove the epolvy trojan:
  • Download Process Explorer from http://www.sysintern...ssExplorer.html
  • Run Process Explorer and find the following process in the list of Processes:
    • wezwdf.exe
  • Select the process and click Process > Suspend.
  • Open HijackThis.
  • Select "Open the Misc Tools section".
  • Clcik the "Delete a file on reboot..." button.
  • In the explorer Window select the following file:
    • d:\windows\system32\wezwdf.exe
  • When prompted if you want to reboot click YES.
  • Leave Process explorer running with the process suspended.
While booting, immediately begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. If done right a Windows Advanced Options menu will appear. Select the Safe Mode option and press Enter to boot into Safe mode.

Then, run Nailfix:
  • Double-click on Nailfix.cmd.
  • Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly. Don't be alarmed, this is normal.
Then, open HijackThis, run a scan and check these items:
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.yahoo.com/?.home=msgr
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://us.rd.yahoo.c...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://us.rd.yahoo.c...rch/search.html
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe D:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [unpuxam] d:\windows\system32\wezwdf.exe r

Now please close all windows and browsers, except HijackThis, and have HijackThis fix them by clicking on Fix Checked.

Then, delete Temp Files. To delete temp files:
Click on Start and then run, and type %temp% and press the ok button.

This should open up the temp directory that your machine uses. Please delete all files that are found there.

Do this same process for %windir%\temp.

Then, delete Temporary Internet Files. To delete Temporary Internet Files:
Open up Internet Explorer, and click on the Tools menu and then Internet Options. At the General tab, which should be the first tab you are currently on, click on the Delete Files button and put a checkmark in Delete offline content. Then press the OK button. This may take quite a while, so do not be alarmed with how long it takes. When it is done, your Temporary Internet Files will now be deleted.

Then, reboot (in the normal mode) and post a new log in this thread.

Hi wioombeen,

Reboot in Safe mode. To reboot in Safe mode:
  • Restart your computer and immediately begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard.
  • If done right a Windows Advanced Options menu will appear. Select the Safe Mode option and press Enter.
Then, run Nailfix:
  • Double-click on Nailfix.cmd.
  • Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly. Don't be alarmed, this is normal.
Then, open HijackThis, run a scan and check these items:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe D:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [unpuxam] d:\windows\system32\wezwdf.exe r

Now please close all windows and browsers, except HijackThis, and have HijackThis fix them by clicking on Fix Checked.

Then, delete this file:
d:\windows\system32\wezwdf.exe

Open HijackThis, run a scan and check these items:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe D:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [unpuxam] d:\windows\system32\wezwdf.exe r

Now please close all windows and browsers, except HijackThis, and have HijackThis fix them by clicking on Fix Checked.

Then, download and run Killbox:
  • Download the Killbox.
  • Extract the contents of Killbox.zip to your Desktop.
  • Double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
  • Select "Delete on Reboot".
  • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting all of them and pressing Ctrl+C:
    • D:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
      d:\windows\system32\wezwdf.exe
  • Return to Killbox, go to File >Paste from Clipboard.
  • Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button.
  • Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt.
  • Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.
Then, reboot (in the normal mode) and post a new log in this thread.

Hi wioombeen,

Run a free TrendMicro Housecall scan:
  • Vist the TrendMicro Housecall website.
  • Select your country from the drop-down list and click "Go".
  • Choose "Yes" at the ActiveX Security Warning prompt.
  • Please wait while the Housecall engine is updated.
  • Select the drives to be scanned by placing a check in their respective boxes.
  • Check the "Auto Clean" box.
  • Click "SCAN" in order to begin scanning your system.
  • Please be patient while Housecall scans your system for malicious files.
  • If not auto-cleaned, remove anything it finds.
  • Click "Close" to exit the Housecall scanner.
  • Choose "Yes" at the HouseCall message prompt.
Then, tell me if your problems are still present.
