Hi,

I use XP Home on my PC. I recently installed Sevice Pack 2 but now I have been told that XP Professional is a whole lot better. Is it worth my while upgrading to XP Pro? Are there any major advantages/disadvantages? Would I have to reinstall Service Packs 1 & 2?

Thanks very much,

You probably wouldn't have to reinstall service pack 1, as new versions of xp install it off the installation disk when you install windows, but service pack 2.. ya you'd have to reinstall that. When you run the installation, pick the "upgrade" install and you will not lose data. Reinstallation of a service pack is a small price to pay for an upgrade..
