I dont have notepad.exe

Hi, I know very, very little about computers. Its a struggle for me to operate this one with Windows XP so go easy on me. I dont understand very much computer lingo, so Plain english Please! Frequently, my computer tells me it cant find notepad.exe and I suspect that maybe I deleted it while trying to get rid of spyware and trojans. How can I put notepad.exe back into my computer? I have a folder for it but its empty. Thanks

Well, I don't think that Notepad is a trojan, you can probably get a copy off Microsoft.com, or Download.com.
