Can someone help me get rid of this annoying pop-up: Aurora. No matter what program i use i just can get rid of it.

Welcome dj5d to Geeks to Go!

You are running HijackThis from its zipped archive; please create a new folder for it and unzip the program into it. It is very important you do this before anything else!

Please disable AntiSpyware for the duration of this advise.

Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Click on Options, Settings.
In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
Under Startup Options uncheck: Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck: Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

***

Please download Nailfix from here:

Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Select "Delete on Reboot".
Place the following line (complete path) in bold in the "Full Path of File to Delete" box in Killbox:

Put a mark next to "Delete on Reboot"
Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.
Make sure to reboot back to save mode.

Run a scan using Ewido, save the log.

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

Right after I sent the last message I started download all the programs like hijack this....and all the other ones that you listed and tried to get rid of it on my own, but when u gave me the instruction, i could not find some of the items you instructed me to check. I saw that you expressed how important it was that I not run these programs, but I already did. What should i do know!?

You mean you downloaded them before I advised them?

Then rerun them as if you haven't. The nailfix had been updated, so that one needs to be downloaded again.
Try to follow this advise and then post back. We'll see what's left.
