My friend has the LOP search bar on her machine, it brings up a bar at the top and bottom of the internet explorer screen and on machne start up also creates 4 desktop advertisment icons.

I found a thread on this site entitled "LOP [resolved], Can not get rid of it" and followed the advice using Clean Up, Hijack and then safe mode but all the things there were supposed to be deleted using Hijack and in safe mode were completely absent from my friends machine; and yet i am sure this is LOP because if i right click it has lop in the properties and by pressing home on the search bar takes you to lop.com

Here is her hijack this log file.

Hi Strongstyle,

If the malwares were so easy to get rid of, we would have posted the fixes and the users could have fixed their PCs by themselves :tazz:

Run Hijack This and click Scan. Close all windows other than Hijack This.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.abjxbgaqj...KlTx_AJEW/k.jpg
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.euro.dell...gen/default.htm

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://uk.red.client...www.yahoo.co.uk
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {0A7191C7-085D-24A1-27A1-5410A169C0CC} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\adviu.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C01122AA-BE52-2557-F79B-8D54EE25F875} - C:\DOCUME~1\Jessica\APPLIC~1\SOFTWA~1\Aboutaim.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Site Base Wait Eq] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Store Owns Site Base\Title Jump.exe
O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search - http://bar.mywebsear...?p=ZBzeb032YYGB
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: repairs.dll

Check the boxes next to aboev items and click on Fix Checked.

Reboot the PC in safe mode (repeatedly tap the F8 key when the PC is starting off).

Open Add or Remove Programs (click on Start ---> Settings ---> Control Panel. This should be the 3rd item). Locate and uninstall / remove the following item, if found -

Mywebsearch

Locate and delete the following files -

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Store Owns Site Base <--- Full Folder
C:\Program Files\Mywebsearch <---- Full Folder

C:\DOCUME~1\Jessica\APPLIC~1\SOFTWA~1\Aboutaim.exe

Reboot the PC in normal mode and post a fresh HJT log here
