Hi...

I have a PC that is misbehaving in the sense that when I have one window open, then go to open another window, the new window disappears as soon as the mouse pointer is moved off it. Thanks in advance for any offered solutions..

Tweak UI (Microsoft Powertoys)

Has a thing called X-Mouse (Activation follows mouse) which can make the disappearing windows that you described. If you have it turned on, turn it off. (Control Panel> Tweak UI> Mouse)

Also, look in Control Panel> Mouse> properties and make sure "Click Lock" is off. It allows you to drag windows w/o holding the button, and can affect other windows, too.
