the file association problem is with all the icons basically except the folders... i have ran the bat file xp_fileassoc.bat and the icons are back to the way they looked like before instead of just being blank, but when i try to run any of the icons or programs it just pops up a message window saying "the file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. create an association in the folder options control panel."

i can still run the programs, but i have to go to start-> run and then browse the program, and then do it again with openwith to run them. any idea?
