I've had SBCGlobal DSL for about 3 months now, and have been unable to use for 2 of those months. It started on my daughter's computer (Windows XP). Whenever we click on the "E" for internet explorer, or on the rocket ship for SBC Global, the window opens, displays an error message "Excessive Sessions Warning" and completely shuts back down. The same thing is now happening on my laptop. This is driving me absolutely nuts!! I called the SBC hotline, and went up to "Phase 2 Tech Support", which told me to go to start/run, and enter a code that started with 162.___.,etc., then went to another place and enabled third party browser extensions, and still no luck. I've been directed to go to SBC's "Phase 3 Fee Support" and haven't tried calling yet. Any suggestions on what my problem might be?

FYI: My daughter plays "Furcadia", and is still able to access that, and was able to access Limewire until about a week ago.

thanks!

You might want to check and see if Limewire is running the the background and isn't really shut down. If you open your Task Manager and look a processes, look for javaw.exe, it's an application that Limewire and other P2P programs use. If it's running then something is using it. Windows also haas a version of javaw, but the one that P2P uses is usually part of the Java Runtime environment. :tazz:
