Please help!

I was playing multiplayer on the battlefeild2 demo and everything was fine but then I crashed to desktop, thinking nothing I restarted the game but now, since that CTD every time I try to play a multiplayer game about halfway through the loading sequence I get this error message:

"Memory.dll: sanity check: block size 603979776 (576.00MB) doesn’t seem sane"

Then I press cancel/try again/ ignore then this message comes up:

"Memory.dll: all alloc attempts failed for size 603979776"

One other thing, how do you solve the CTD problem wth BF2, I have heard many people complaning of it and it also happens to me sometimes.

Thanks!
Richard.

i had a similar problem........after i wiped my hard drive due to a connection
crash i had to reinstall windows (new partition) due to total system crash.

installed BATTLEFIELD 2 and its working fine now......

hate to say it but i think it was a virus, although the techs told me image damage.

i used to get a socket error but its fine now.

^agreed. If you have any Virus scan sofware I suggest you run a thourough search, or for any spyware, addware. Because spyware and addware can use up much ram when running.

The same problem here.
I'm certain that it is no virus becoz my computer is brandnew. Did also a check on virusses and no to be found.
Now I think there could be an error in RAM memory. I'm going to check that now with memtest86.
If SOMEBODY KNOWS WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, PLEASE LET US KNOW!!!!

I had this same problem.. well sort of the same... It would load about 14% into the game and it would give me that error except that it said something like:

Sanity check... give a few numbers and say "this is not sane"

The reason, for me anyhow, is when you are installing the game and you come to the screen at the end to congfigure your MIC and you hit save settings instead of CANCEL (when you dont have a mic) If you do have a mic and it is plugged in... I dont know what to say.

This fixed it for me anyways... hit cancel when you come to the Mic configuration screen.

this seemed to fix quite a few people on the bf2 forums.

Hi,

I experienced the same problem.

I use a XP 3200+, 1 GB, Radeon 9800 Pro, pagefile turned off

For me this helped:

I had pagefile turned on, shut donw fraps, shut down copernic desktop search and shut down hardware monitor.

No I don`t get the error anymore and the game runnes stable.

I guess the pagefile was the reason but I didn`t tie out.

I think it is kind of wiered to suggest in the manual to turn off the virus scanner using an online game!

Also anoter error occures which doesn`t seem to have the same reason: if I switch the grafic detailes to high the game shuts.

I love beeing a tester and of cours I like to pay for it!

Sorry EA but this buggy game is anoying.

Hope this will help other exploited gamers.
