My computer actually was pretty secure even before this happened. I did have most of the security software, Spybot, Adaware, Windows updates, Mozilla etc. But the main problem is my parents like to use IE explorer because it has all of their favourites in it. And well, going through massive chains of advertisements and popups, you're bound to reach something bad even with the latest security. Needless to say though, I've saved all of their favourites links to Mozilla after this event
