Last weekend i bought an old G3 macintosh running 0s9 for a pittance and it's great. the problem is, is it's crawling with old spy-ware, mal-ware etc. Are there any freebie products that deal with this kind of problem for 0s9??? cheers.

Sounds like a reinstallation of the OS is in order, unless it has a lot of software you want to save.

Have you checked to see if there might be installation files on the computer? Many computers have a full set of installation files and by transfering them to another computer hard disk or a cd-rom, cleaning off and reformatting the old drive and reloading and running them you can do a clean install without a store bought disk.
