Hi,
my PC has been infected by a virus some days now. The IE closed when I search in google for the word antivirus, I couldn't open regedit or activate the firewall etc.
etc.

Now after I have used most of the tools suggested in this forum, I think I have removed it or at least everything works again. Still the IE is behaving strange sometimes. For example it crashes ofter then previously and sometimes it needs an eternity to load some Web sites (e.g. EBAy or Google). I have atached the HijackThis log. Can you help please?
Thank you very much.
Fabio

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Reboot.

Do you have the latest version of ActiveX? It is ActiveX 9.0c ,I see some remnants of ActiveX 6.0 layin around in there. In order for IE to work properly after Windows updates have been installed you must update ActiveX, maybe you have already, but it's worth a shot.

Hi,
I did what you suggested.
Since then I had no crash, so I am optimistic.
Thank you very much for the quick answer. <_<
Ciao
