Hey Jonstang,

Just yesterday I found my usb ports didn't work either. I have just never used them util yesterday, only to find out there's no go. This is what I did. I went into control panel, performance and maintenance, system, hardware tab, device manager. Clicked Universal Serial Bus controllers right clicked on the top one it said this device is working properly, but it obviously wasn't. I then clicked update driver in the driver tab. I just had it find it in windows, and bam everything going good. If that doesn't work or you have already tried, then try downloading updated drivers off the internet. Sometimes when you update windows, some of your drivers need updating to run with the new changes.
