I'll remove it anyway, don't like the looks of it :tazz:

Please read these instructions carefully. You may want to print them. Copy the text to a Notepad file and save it to your desktop! We will need the file later.
Be sure to follow ALL instructions!

***

If you have not already installed Ad-Aware SE 1.06, please download and install AdAware SE 1.06.
Check Here on how setup and use it - please make sure you update it first.
Don't scan yet.

***

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

***

Please download the Killbox.
Extract the program to your desktop.
Don't use it yet.

***

Download Process Explorer from http://www.sysintern...ssExplorer.html

Run Process Explorer and find the Process in the list of Processes.
Select the process and click Process > Suspend.
xlkurmv or c:\windows\system32\mqexro.exe

check HijackThis to see if it changed names. Right now it's this line:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [xlkurmv] c:\windows\system32\mqexro.exe r

***

Then in HijackThis click Config > Misc Tools > Delete a file on reboot...
In the explorer Window select the file
c:\windows\system32\mqexro.exe or the one it changed into
When prompted if you want to reboot click YES
Leave Process explorer running with the process suspended.

***

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:
http://www.pchell.co.../safemode.shtml

Here is a new Hijack This log. I ran Process Explorer and was not able to find..
xlkurmv or c:\windows\system32\mqexro.exe to suspend. It did not look like the name change, but I was not sure. Could you please look at the new log and then advise me what to do. I wanted to make sure that I was doing everything correctly and did not want to mess up. Thank you for your help..

Press 'allow' if Spybot prompts you to these changes.

Open HijackThis
Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://searchco.com/

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {02EE5B04-F144-47BB-83FB-A60BD91B74A9} - (no file)

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file)

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running.
Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Reboot the computer.

A few questions:
- did you run AdAware Se 1.06 (incl. updates) and have it remove all it finds in red?
- did you run Spybot S&D (incl. updates) and have it remove all it finds in red?

Let's cleanup a bit.

Download CleanUp!.
If that doesn’t work, use this link.
Here is a tutorial which describes its usage:
http://www.bleepingc...tutorial93.html

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu). Set the program up as follows:
*Click "Options..."
*Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
*Put a check next to the following:
  • Empty Recycle Bins
  • Delete Cookies
  • Delete Prefetch files
  • Scan local drives for temporary files
  • Cleanup! All Users
Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

Once it's done, press Close. Reboot the system. This will remove files that were in use during the scan.

If cleanup removes a lot I recommend you defragment the disk.

If it's still slow on startup, do this:

* Please rightclick this link to download Silent Runners.
* Save it to the desktop.
* Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
* You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done yet, just let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
* Once you receive the prompt "All Done!", double-click on the new text file on the desktop and copy that entire log and paste it here.

*NOTE* If you receive any warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.
For some time it will look like nothing is happening. Just keep waiting.
Once it's done it will create a log. A window will come up telling you when it's saved.
Then post that log here for me to check.

Please disable Spybot SD Helper, Intermute's SpamSubtract and AOL Spyware Protection.

Reboot to save mode.

Open HijackThis
Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [CAS Client] "C:\Program Files\Cas\Client\casclient.exe"

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running.
Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

***

Use Windows Explorer to remove these:
C:\Program Files\Cas\ <= whole folder
C:\Program Files\CasStub\ <= whole folder
C:\Documents and Settings\[Current User]\Desktop\Free Plasma TV.lnk
C:\Documents and Settings\[Current User]\Local Settings\Temp\cassetup.exe

Replace the [Current User] with the name of the account you are using.

Also remove the shortcuts on your desktop.

Reboot the computer.

Did you do all I advised you to (in my previous advise?).

Please show me a fresh log using HijackThis.

Disable Spybot Resident this way:
Open Spybot and click on Mode and check Advanced Mode
Check yes to next window.
Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner.
Click on System Startup icon.
Uncheck Teatimer box and/or Uncheck Resident.
Click Allow Change box.

***

Reboot to safe mode.

***

In safe mode, press ctrl+alt+del to access the taskmanager.

See if these two are running;
C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\AOL\AOLSPY~1\AOLSP Scheduler.exe
C:\Program Files\interMute\SpamSubtract\SpamSubtract.exe

press the 'end taks' for both of them.

Then proceed with the advise.

I was unable to locate the Teatimer box or Resident Box under System start-up. I did however locate a TeaTimer Box under the Resident icon..Resident "SD Helper" was checked and Resident "Tea Timer" is unchecked already. Do I need to change anything else for Sbybot in order to disable the program?

No that's enough.

SPybot protects the Registry from being changed. That's why we need to disable it.
