Ok i'm guessing you've picked up some spyware from the net. Get Hijack This from my signature and post a copy of the log for me...

UnrealChaos you have many problems on your pc.

Print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Start by going to your control panel and in 'Add/ Remove Programs' uninstalll WebSavingsfromEbates.

Next go to this link: Here to get an idea of what we do here, and help yourself to any information or software you need at this stage. Run the programs/scans. Ad-aware is essential and should be run depending on your browsing habits. CWShredder for your cool web search infection and Spybot is a very useful tool :tazz:

There's no possible way of clearing this in one hit as some of the entries will have different names by now, but it's possible to clear some of it to make it easier later, so once you've done the above and scanned your pc...

Run a free online virus scan here (tick the "Auto Clean" checkbox):
http://housecall.antivirus.com/

And a free trojan scan here:
http://www.moosoft.com/

Reboot your PC.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, (if found) then click fix checked.

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = about:blank

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):

C:\WINDOWS\System32\svcinit.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\stlb2.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ggvwjmj.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\nuzxsl.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\seos.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\w?aclt.exe
Do not confuse this with wuauclt.exe which is a legit file.
C:\Program Files\WebSavingsfromEbates <---folder
C:\Program Files\NewDotNet <--- folder

Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin

Click OK and Disk Cleanup will delete those files for you.

Reboot your PC.

Download WinsockXPFix for Windows XP/2000/NT to repair your broken internet connection:
http://www.geekstogo...n=download&id=7

Download: http://www.mvps.org/.../DelDomains.inf
To use: right-click and select: Install (no need to restart)
Note: This will remove all entries in the "Trusted Zone" and "Ranges" also.

Finally (for now at least) please download About:Buster and unzip it to your desktop. Start it, hit Ok, Start, And Ok again to start the scan. It will generate a log. Post that log along with a new Hijack this log here.

Download About:Buster here: http://www.geekstogo...=download&id=25

That i'm sure will keep you busy for a while, and it will give me time to check out the following line which i've never seen:
O23 - Service: Network Security Service (NSS) (%AF夶À¨) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\atlun.exe (file missing)

Keep yer head up. We will get it sorted. ;)

DeathClown, hi and welcome to geeks to go. I would recommend moving nearer a telephone exchange, but it would be cheaper to just upgrade your connection :tazz:

Seriously though, if you've noticed a considerable delay in your connection time you could also check out this link:

I am having the Same problem as GateMaster. I see pings and everything but when I try to Join all I get is Awaiting Gamestate and it just hangs. I also have a Broadband connection and used to play all the time on both UO and COD.

BUT, I can connect using Dial-up. I want my High Speed for obvious reasons. Dial-up stinks. Please post a fix if you have one GameState or anyone else that faced the same problem.

As you are probably aware by now, the COD Master Server is down. It least that's what everyone is saying in MANY forums. Very frustrating, and looking for a clear answer from Activision.

Try going on with your firewall set to low or off - just make sure your anti-virus is up and your windows are up to date ( security patch wise ) - try that and see if that helps .
