Hello,
i installed a Hard Drive that used to be the master in another computer that crashed a couple months back. Now i'm trying use it as a slave (E:) to get some of the information from it before using it as extra space. It says total size 37.2GB, freespace 21.8GB when i check in My computer but when I open up the E drive it is empty. I made sure all system files or anything are shown. I made sure that the jumpers were in the right place. I've done it before, for another drive with no problems. Can someone recommend a program that might repair this, hopefully an inexpensive one?

My system is running XP... any help please as redoing the work will take too much time and hiring a profesional will cost too much.
thanks for at least reading this.

Here is a nice link I found on google: http://www.pcstats.c...?articleID=1139
You could start by running the hd manufacturers diagnostics on the hard drive. If you don't have it, you can find it at this forum http://forums.pcper....isplay.php?f=40 posted as a sticy at the top of the forum.
